Many times you will still be decapitated because you did not move far enough away from the trap once through it. To avoid these you must crouch by holding the C key down and move forward with the number pad 8 and C key depressed. Decapitation traps have two long grooves in the wall that two blades snap out of and decapitate the prince.Sometimes running past and jumping a trap is the best strategy. Guards do not pursue you up walls, or beyond staircases or traps. Sometimes running past a guard is just as good as killing him.No one is pursuing you, inspite of what it feels or seems like. Take the time to look around when you are just waiting.Why Red Orb could not have had a last save and automate this process saving you countless hours of useless and unnecessary repetitive actions is beyond our understanding.
